Geriatric Nursing

Nursing pertaining to older adults is known as Geriatric Nursing. In order to provide good quality and maximum functionality of life for older adults, geriatric nurses are preferred to work in collaboration with older adults, their families, and communities. Geriatric Nurses are expected to be skilled in patient care, treatment planning, education, mental health, and rehabilitation. They also take on many roles in the workplace. The main responsibility is as a caregiver. They can also be advocates, counsellors, and educators for their patients.
